I can't decide if I love pillows or if I hate them. I find (what I think are) awesome pillows and then a couple months later I'm not happy with them anymore. Call me hard to please. I dunno. So, after I saw this little tutorial over at Welcome to Heardmont, for making pillows out of placemats I thought to myself, "Genius idea. If I hate them a couple months from now, they only cost me $4 each." Also, you can really coordinate your pillows with the season and the holidays, too.

All it took was an iron, a seam ripper, some stuffing, and a hot glue gun. Easy as pie!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I have a pillow problem too, find cute ones and buy a pair, them I'm sick of them in like 3 months because I found something cuter. I currently have a stash of rejects I need to do something about... shhh, don't tell! ;)

OH I like em!!! I won this AWESOME pillow in a giveaway and I actually want to revamp my other pillows to match it. BUT....I have never sewed more than a button or a hem and I have NO sewing machine!!! I bet those place mats are pretty excited to be pillows now!! :)
