Favorite Meat Loaf

What you need:
2 beaten eggs
3/4 cup milk
2 cups soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl combine eggs and milk. Stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, basil, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. 

2. Add meat and mix well. Lightly pat mixture into an 8x4x2 inch loaf pan.

3. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. 


4. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine ketchup, sugar, and mustard. 


5. Spoon off fat from meat loaf and spread ketchup mixture over meat. 


6. Bake for an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
