Beaded Christmas Trees - {Tutorial}

I've seen so many of these gorgeous tabletop glittery Christmas trees and I love em' so much that I knew I had to make my own! Here is some inspiration from Target:

Aren't they just gorgeous?!? Okay, so to get started I gathered up my materials. I got some styrofoam cones and some Mardi Gras beads in red and some beaded garland in silver and got to work with my hot glue gun.

I applied about 2 or 3 inches of glue at a time and then laid the beads on top. The hardest part is making sure that you continue to go straight across for the whole project. Laying the bottom row is key to making sure the rest is straight, though.

Keep going,...

Keep going,...

Almost done,...

Yay!

This one took me about 45 minutes and it only cost me a couple bucks. Not bad, huh? I did the bigger cone in the silver beads and then put them both on my table in the foyer. :)

While, I was making my pretty beaded Christmas trees, my kids were playing around the house in their pajamas (of course) and my son had some music playing on my husbands iPhone and some dancing definitely happened,...

Mid dance I asked L to flash me his best dancing face and this is what he gave me:

Yup! In another 13 years, he's totally gonna be on So You Think You Can Dance! Yes, ma'am!

  1. What a coincidence, I just did one of the beaded trees today. I used a chipboard cone shape from Michael's -- super cheap. I was using red beaded garlands so I painted the chipboard cone red before I started applying the beads. It looks really cool, as do yours.

  2. Very pretty. I want to make these some day (soon I hope) but I want the cones from the $ store - Hobby Lobby charges too much for them!
