Halloween Fishnet Pumpkins - {Tutorial}

Here's a little project I made the other day. We haven't had a chance to visit the pumpkin patch, yet, and so our porch was looking a little bare in the pumpkin department. I saw these nice looking plastic craft pumpkins at the Michael's Craft Store and pondered over what I would do with them for a couple days.

 I knew I didn't want to carve anything in to them, for I have tried that before and let me just say it didn't end pretty. But, there were definitely some naughty words said. And by naughty words I mean "Cheese and rice" and "Fluffing pumpkins!!". I have a 4 and a 2 year old running around here, people.

I had some fishnet stockings laying around that I ripped a big hole in a few months ago and so I thought, "Hmmm, can pumpkins be sexy? We'll see,..."

I also had a couple of these signs stuffed in my craft closet from an old project I did a year ago. I decided to paint them with some chalkboard paint and attach them to my "Sexy Pumpkins."

  7. I too tried to cut those pumpkins when making one of those stackable topiaries. Unless I lose my marbles, I will never attempt something like that again! I guess that's why Michael's was heavily advertising the service to carve these pumpkins this year!

    Love what you did with the fishnets. They are very different, and I love unusual things that are pretty. Plus they kind of remind me of spider webs. Thanks for sharing your idea! Happy Halloween!
